Dogs for Independence 2012 calendar highlights various assistance dogs and their duties to support people with a variety of disabilities.

Why a dog calendar? Independent Living Vernon is working to increase community awareness of the various assistance dogs that can be trained to help people with various disabilities. This year's calendar features dogs trained to support people who are blind, have autism, diabetes, psychiatric & physical disabilities. IL Vernon recognizes the impact dogs have on reducing consumer's anxiety, providing comic relief, and enhancing relationships. The 13 month calendar features:
-Full colour pictures of dogs and their animated profiles
-Helpful tips and information for dog lovers about the benefits of bringing dogs to work, how to make your workplace dog friendly, and service dog etiquette information

$10.00 for calendar and will be on sale October 16, 2011! They make great stocking stuffers for Christmas and gifts for any dog lover in your life.
